Product Manager - £60,000 - £65,000
Location: Cambridge / Hybrid
We are looking for a Product Manager to define and deliver the strategy, roadmap, and success of a portfolio of specialist software and data products used by scientific and technical professionals worldwide.
Working closely with engineering, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs, shaping product direction, prioritising investment, and ensuring successful delivery of valuable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Translate business and customer needs into product priorities.
Work with Agile delivery teams to drive successful execution.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and validate opportunities.
Monitor product performance, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
Manage products throughout their lifecycle, from concept through launch and continuous improvement.
Collaborate across engineering, design, commercial, and leadership teams to deliver business and customer value.Essential skills criteria
Experience managing software, SaaS, platform, or technology products.
Proven track record of delivering successful products and features.
Experience working within Agile development environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to define product strategy, roadmaps, and priorities.
Commercially minded with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Degree in a scientific, technical, engineering, computing, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.Desirable
Experience with products used by scientists, researchers, engineers, or technical users.
Exposure to scientific software, data platforms, modelling, simulation, analytics, or research technologies.
Knowledge of UX, product discovery, and user-centred design principles.What You'll Bring
