Job description
Project Engineer – Electrical / Instrumentation/Marine
Permanent – must be commutable distance to Altrincham, Greater Manchester. UK
Salary – Up to £50K
Start : Immediate
Location : Altrincham, Greater Manchester, UK.
The Role
Due to an internal reorganisation means we are looking for an additional Project Engineer reporting to the General Manager, the role to support the Project team ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. This includes but is not limited to, preparation of drawings, project plans, methods of works, risk assessments/HAZID and documentation packages for the installation of mechanical/electrical systems onto ocean-going vessels and Offshore assets. The candidate will understand the challenges of working in these environments and the necessary risk mitigation strategies that are involved.
Required Skills
* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an electrical/electronic /instrumentation/marine or associated Engineering discipline
* 2 years’ experience in a similar position
* Preparation of installation drawings, schematics, manuals and work instructions
* Good communicator, team player
* CAD experience is essential
* Competent with MS Office / MS Project and other industry standard software packages
* Able to provide excellent references
* Fluent English language, UK Passport and the right to work in the UK is essential
* Desirable would be an understanding of the requirements of installation works in the offshore and ocean-going marine sectors.

* Monday to Thursday 08:00 -16:30 Friday 08:00 - 14:30
