Year 1 Class Teacher - Primary School
 Location: Chorley
 Start Date: January 2026
 Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (Until Summer 2026)
 Pay: £140 - £250 per day (dependent on experience)

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chorley who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026 until the end of the Summer Term.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and creative teacher who can inspire young learners and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons during this key stage of their education.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 1 curriculum.

Support pupils in developing their phonics, literacy and numeracy skills.

Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents and senior staff.

Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil development.

Participate fully in school life, including staff meetings, parent consultations, and school events.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.

Excellent understanding of the National Curriculum and early phonics schemes.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
