Job Description

W Talent are delighted to be partnering with an established manufacturing business to recruit a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. This is an opportunity to join a growing Technical function, supporting regulatory compliance and ensuring products meet the required standards throughout their lifecycle. Job Description Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Regulatory Affairs Specialist will play a key role in ensuring products meet all relevant regulatory requirements and legislation. You will take ownership of product classification, Safety Data Sheets, regulatory documentation and labelling requirements, acting as a key point of contact for regulatory guidance across the business. Working closely with internal stakeholders including Technical, Quality, NPD, Production and Commercial teams, you will support product compliance, assess the impact of product changes and ensure all technical information remains accurate and up to date. This role would suit an experienced Regulatory Affairs professional looking for a position offering ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact within a successful manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Author, review and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) using Lisam ExESS or equivalent SDS authoring software. Classify products in accordance with CLP, GB CLP and GHS regulations. Assess product classifications, hazard statements, precautionary statements and associated regulatory requirements. Ensure regulatory information is accurately reflected across technical documentation and product labelling. Prepare, submit and maintain Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs) and manage UFI codes. Review and approve product artwork, labels and packaging to ensure regulatory compliance. Assess the regulatory impact of product changes, raw material changes and new product developments. Provide regulatory advice and support to internal stakeholders. Monitor regulatory updates and support the implementation of legislative changes. Maintain accurate regulatory records, documentation and compliance processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives across regulatory processes. Key Requirements Previous experience within a Regulatory Affairs role within manufacturing, chemicals or a regulated industry. Hands-on experience authoring and maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). Strong knowledge of CLP, GB CLP and GHS regulations. Experience with product classification and hazard assessment. Experience managing Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs) and UFI codes. Experience reviewing product labelling, artwork and technical documentation. Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills. Advantageous Requirements Experience using Lisam ExESS or equivalent SDS authoring software. Knowledge of UK and EU chemical legislation. Experience supporting product development or technical change projects. Experience working within an FMCG, chemical or manufacturing environment. Details and Benefits Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience. Early finish on a Friday. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Death in service benefit.
