Rehabilitation Services Relief Kitchen Assistant – Gloucestershire County Council – GL1 4BP

6 Months Contract

5 Hours Per Week

Good afternoon,

I am currently representing Gloucestershire County Council are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 7 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Services Relief Kitchen Assistant based at Great Western Court, GL1 4BP

Key Accountabilities:

  * Weekly shift each Thursday, 9am - 2pm

  * Initial 6-month contract with a view to extend to cover full period of maternity leave

  * Adults Enhanced DBS required

Requirements :

Under the guidance of the Registered Manager, you’ll:

  * Work with another Kitchen Assistant to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for lunch and tea

  * Develop and maintain good relationships with the individuals using our service

  * Follow all health & safety guidelines and procedures

  * Ensure our kitchen and food service health and safety standards meet Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards

You’ll need:

  * Experience of food preparation for multiple individuals

  * A positive attitude and good communication skills

  * Understanding of food allergens and food safety

  * Ability to maintain a clean and hygienic environment

  * Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  * Adults Enhanced DBS with Barred List required
