Grounds Maintenance Operative (Ride-On Mower)
 Location: Cheadle
 Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15am – 4:21pm 

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading waste management company for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to help maintain public spaces in Bruntwood Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in outdoor work and enjoys keeping environments clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a John Deere 1580 ride-on mower (or similar equipment) to maintain grass verges and open spaces
Carry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
Ensure all machinery is used safely and in line with company procedures
Follow scheduled mowing plans and complete work to a high standard
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas
Requirements

Full, valid driving licence (minimum B1)
Proven experience operating ride-on mowers (golf course or similar environments preferred, e.g. triple mowers)
Good local knowledge of Stockport and surrounding areas is advantageous
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
