Job Description

Kopek Security & Facilities Ltd is a national provider of manned and canine assisted security services. As a company, we consistently strive to deliver a high standard of service.

Description

We are looking for experienced, compliant and diligent RST Security Dog Handlers for secure high networth sites in Surrey.

The sites require cover 18:00 – 06:00 Monday to Sunday on a 7 on, 7 off shift pattern.

All handlers will be required to ensure the security of our client’s premises while adhering to the site safety rules and regulations. Handlers will be required to be compliant to British Standards 8517, conduct random dog patrols using the sites patrol vehicle and follow other specific duties to be advised in the assignment instructions.

Preferred applicants will be expected to maintain high levels of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements. Must be able to work well as part of an RST team.

A high level of animal welfare and care will always be expected!

Must take pride in their appearance, be punctual and reliable.

Hours of Work

12 hour shifts., 18:00 – 06:00 Monday to Sunday on a 7 on, 7 off shift pattern.

Rates of Pay

£16/hr PAYE

Handler Requirements

To apply, applicants are required to have:

* Work ethics, positive attitude and be a team player

* Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare

* A valid frontline SIA badge

* Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)

* Continuation training (CT) records

* A suitable dog of guarding breed

* Compliant dog cages with escape hatches

* Appropriate, smart, unbranded vehicle (no company livery)

* Have the right to work in the UK

* Professional, presentable with excellent communication skills

* Smart black uniform & boots with clean hi-vis/tactical vest

All applicants will be screened and vetted to BS 8517 and BS 7858
