Job Description

Interaction Education are pleased to currently be working with a great school in the Hemel Hempstead area in their search for a Pastoral Officer, on a temporary basis with a view to going permanent for the right candidate.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in a pastoral or pastoral support position, and will be starting as soon as possible.

The key responsibilities for the role can be found below:

Key Responsibilities:

Provide pastoral support to students, offering guidance on academic, emotional, and social matters.

Act as a first point of contact for students who require assistance with personal or social issues.

Monitor and support the well-being of students, referring to external services as needed.

Work closely with teachers and other staff to identify students at risk and develop appropriate interventions.

Lead or support student mentoring programs and peer support initiatives.

Contribute to the management of student behavior, promoting positive conduct and addressing any concerns or incidents.

Organize and deliver workshops or small-group sessions on personal development, emotional resilience, and anti-bullying.

Communicate effectively with parents and carers to discuss students' progress and well-being.

Maintain accurate records of student support and interventions in line with school policies.
