TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established comprehensive school in Barry, seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated Additional Learning Needs team within the school's specialist Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Base.

The Role
Working within the school's specialist ASD Base, you will:
Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Provide tailored support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Promote independence, communication and social development.
Work closely with teaching staff and the school's ALN team to implement personalised support strategies.
Help create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Previous experience working within an educational setting.
Experience supporting children or young people with Additional Learning Needs, particularly Autism, is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
