Secondary SEN Skills Teacher (PSHE & Careers) Salary: £24,800 - £28,000 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (Monday - Friday, 08:15-16:00) Are you a dedicated educator driven by the belief that every learner deserves a pathway to independence? We are seeking a pioneering Skills Teacher to lead our PSHE and Careers curriculum at our brand-new site. This is a unique opportunity to join an inclusive education community from its inception, specifically working with pupils across KS3 and KS4 with a spectrum of SEND and SEMH needs. This role is about more than classroom delivery; it is about empowering students to master the social, emotional, and professional skills they need for life beyond the school gates. You will be the architect of their future, blending personal development with practical career guidance to ensure our learners are ready for the world. Create innovative learning materials for a diverse cohort, adapting the environment and pace to meet a wide range of SEND profiles. Establish a calm, structured, and trauma-informed classroom culture that promotes regulation and well-being. Track and evidence progress against personalised and statutory outcomes, contributing actively to Annual Reviews and EHCP processes. Teach, model, and reinforce independence and life skills appropriate for secondary-aged pupils preparing for the next stage of their journey.Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised degree, with evidence of ongoing professional development. Proven experience teaching or supporting pupils in KS3/KS4, adapting teaching for sensory, SEMH, and communication needs.
