Many pupils have autism and associated social, communication, and sensory needs, while others present with learning disabilities or more complex profiles, including additional medical, behavioural, or physical needs.

Facilities include bright and modern classrooms, dedicated sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and quiet break-out areas. The school is supported by a strong multidisciplinary team, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and skilled learning support assistants. About the Role
The school is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to work with either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 3 pupils. The successful candidate will deliver highly differentiated and structured lessons tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning plan. Collaboration with therapists, support staff, and families is central to the role, ensuring that pupils receive consistent and holistic support.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience supporting children or adults with autism or other learning disabilities inside education, in another role or personal experience
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience
The ability to plan and deliver individualised learning programmes
A commitment to supporting children with complex needs to reach their potential
Essential Requirement:
The successful candidate must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced Child Workforce DBS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
