SEN Teaching Assistant – Kings Heath

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential part in supporting pupils both one-to-one and in small group settings. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils with personalised learning plans

Helping develop communication, independence, and emotional regulation

Adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
*
Implementing positive behaviour strategies and supporting de-escalation
*
Assisting with sensory activities, routines, and transitions
*
Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress
*
Supporting pupils’ physical or personal care needs where appropriate
*
Ensuring a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:

At least 6 months’ experience working in UK schools
*
Previous experience working in an SEN school setting
*
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
*
The ability to travel to the Kings Heath area reliably
*
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
