About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a thriving Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Netherley. This exciting opportunity offers a temporary-to-permanent position, with the chance to make a lasting impact on the educational journey of children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
Work closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's learning and development.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies in line with student needs.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, promoting engagement, and ensuring they develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Foster positive relationships with students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Work closely with parents, carers, and other external agencies to support the needs of the students.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a genuine interest in working in the SEND sector.
Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs (desirable but not essential).
Passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and committed to making a difference.
Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children with complex needs.
A patient, calm, and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
An understanding of the challenges faced by children with additional needs and a desire to support them in overcoming these challenges.What We Offer:
