Do you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream school in Sunderland that is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment for all pupils. The school promotes a supportive ethos where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential, with staff working collaboratively to meet the needs of all learners.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND TA on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND TA will provide tailored support to pupils with complex needs, working closely with the class teacher to promote engagement, independence and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful SEND TA will have:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience supporting children with complex needs

A caring, patient and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
