Job Description

We're recruiting for a growing software business delivering enterprise-scale platforms to customers across international markets. With continued investment in technology and engineering, they're looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join their team and take ownership of complex application support issues.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced support professional who enjoys technical investigation, problem-solving and mentoring others.

What you'll be doing

Acting as a senior escalation point for complex application issues
	
Investigating, diagnosing and resolving 2nd/3rd line support incidents
	
Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
	
Working closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams
	
Writing and maintaining automation scripts
	
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
	
Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles

What we're looking for

3+ years' experience in Application Support, Software Support or a similar role
	
Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries
	
Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment
	
Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems
	
Experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar version control tools
	
Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell
	
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
	
Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

PL/SQL experience
	
Experience supporting enterprise software applications
	
Exposure to Agile environments

PL/SQL is preferred but not essential. Candidates with strong SQL experience are encouraged to apply.
