Senior Construction Estimator ideally with new build, fit out and refurbishment Industrial or Commercial project experience

  * In the office 5 days per week, occasional site visits

  * Monday – Thurs – 7.30am – 5pm

  * Friday – 7.30am – 12.30pm

Role Overview
The Senior Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate budgets, competitive cost estimates and tenders for new construction projects, managing the entire estimating process from initial inquiry through to contract signature. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives. This role involves analysing project documents, assessing risks, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality bids and tenders.

This position requires strong attention to detail, organisational skills, the ability to work on multiple projects at once and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  * Preparation of budgets and tenders for new projects

  * Collating tender documents and amendments

  * Reviewing all tender documents to establish the project requirements

  * Producing Bill of Quantities

  * Producing and issuing enquiries to subcontractors

  * Collating quotations

  * Evaluating returned quotations from subcontractors and prepare comparison

  * Inputting costs into Bill of Quantities

  * Preparation of tender submissions

Skills & Qualifications

  * Ability to read and interpret different sources of written information

  * Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  * Able to work within dedicated timescales

  * Good communication skills, both oral and written

  * Good time management and organisation skills
