Job Description

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE Location: Dublin Airport Employment type: Permanent Working pattern: 4 days on site / 1 day remote Salary: €110,000 - €130,000 Sterling equivalent: £94,000 - £111,000 THE PROGRAMME Join a flagship multi-year capital programme transforming Dublin Airport into a world-class international hub, expanding capacity to 40 million passengers per year with a future pathway to 55 million. THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is looking for a senior civil infrastructure professional to lead major airfield, roads, drainage, utility and enabling-work packages within Dublin Airport's capital programme. You will provide strategic direction to Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams while retaining close control of delivery, interfaces, commercial performance and stakeholder outcomes. The programme covers new piers and aircraft stands, major airfield upgrades, terminal redesign, surface access and transport improvements, and upgraded drainage and utilities. You will work in a live, safety-critical environment where robust governance, stakeholder management and disciplined delivery are essential. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR - Lead civil infrastructure projects and packages through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out. - Oversee delivery plans, schedules, budgets, risk, interfaces, quality and safety performance. - Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans, governance frameworks and resource plans. - Lead and mentor Project Managers, providing technical, commercial and contractual guidance. - Coordinate design consultants, engineers, contractors and specialist service providers. - Chair design reviews and communicate formal acceptance, changes and delivery impacts to relevant stakeholders. - Maintain programme and project risk registers, change-control processes and performance reporting. - Manage NEC contractual duties, including programme submissions, early warnings, compensation events and payment assessment where applicable. - Build effective relationships with airport operations, senior client representatives, regulators and delivery partners. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Around 15 years or more of experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects. - Deep experience in one or more of airfield works, highways, drainage, utilities, earthworks, structures or major enabling works. - A strong record of client-side or consultancy-led project delivery across complex, multi-stakeholder programmes. - Extensive NEC contract knowledge and practical contract-administration experience. - Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing several projects or major work packages concurrently. - Aviation or live operational infrastructure experience is preferred, but comparable rail, highways, water, energy or utilities backgrounds will be considered. - A relevant degree and chartered or equivalent professional status are preferred. WHAT IS ON OFFER - A highly competitive permanent base salary of €110,000 - €130,000 (approximately £94,000 - £111,000) for comparison, depending on experience and professional standing. - Primarily site based at Dublin Airport, with four days on site and one remote-working day each week. - A permanent opportunity on one of Europe's most significant live-airport infrastructure programmes. - Direct exposure to senior client stakeholders, major contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams. - A competitive benefits package and professional development support, subject to final confirmation.
