Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in overhead lines and substations to join their team in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-focused professional to contribute to high-profile energy infrastructure projects.

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)

 As an SQS, you will be responsible for the commercial management of complex energy projects, including:

Preparing and monitoring cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
Managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
Conducting value engineering and risk assessments
Overseeing claims, variations, and change management
Providing commercial guidance to project teams and senior stakeholdersCandidate Requirements:

Extensive experience in overhead line and substation projects
Strong knowledge of commercial and contract management, ideally NEC contracts
Proven track record of managing project costs and delivering commercial solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
