Job Description

HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers – Warrington (WA5)
Days or Nights | Rolled-Up Holiday Pay | Ongoing Work

The Recruitment Crowd (TRC) is hiring experienced Class 1 Shunter Drivers (C+E) to join our client’s busy yard operation in Warrington (WA5).

Shifts Available:
• Days or Nights
• Flexible shift patterns across Monday to Sunday
• Ongoing, regular work

Pay Rates (Rolled-Up Holiday Pay Only):

Please note that from the 23rd of November till 20th of December there will be a £2 uplift on below rates.

Days:
• Monday to Thursday: £17.15
• Friday to Sunday: £21.65

Nights:
• Monday to Thursday: £18.40
• Friday to Sunday: £22.62

The Role:
• Shunting trailers safely around the yard
• Precise reversing and manoeuvring in tight spaces
• Vehicle safety checks (pre and post shift)
• Working closely with yard and dispatch teams
• Adhering to all site safety policies
• Light yard duties as required

Requirements:
• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
• Successful site assessment (theory and practical)
• Good knowledge of WTD legislation
• Strong communication and a safety-first attitude
