Site Engineer

Bristol
Full-Time | Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a leading main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across the South West.

The Role

Reporting to the Site / Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring accurate setting out, quality control and technical coordination across site activities.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Carry out setting out and levelling in accordance with drawings and specifications

  * 

    Ensure all drawings and site information are accurate, coordinated and up to date

  * 

    Review and coordinate architectural, structural and subcontractor drawings

  * 

    Monitor quality control and testing of materials and workmanship

  * 

    Ensure works are delivered in line with the construction programme

  * 

    Carry out checks before and after key activities such as concrete pours

  * 

    Act as a technical advisor on site, supporting and coordinating subcontractors

  * 

    Assist with temporary works coordination where required

  * 

    Maintain accurate site records and reporting

About You

  * 

    Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer

  * 

    Experience working on large-scale construction projects

  * 

    Strong understanding of construction processes and site coordination

  * 

    Experience using AutoCAD and relevant engineering software

  * 

    Proven ability to manage and monitor subcontractors

  * 

    Experience carrying out health & safety inspections

  * 

    Degree / HND / HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction or similar

  * 

    CSCS Card (or equivalent)

  * 

    Full UK driving licence
