Job Description

External Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced External Site Manager to join a large-scale commercial development in Banbury.

This is a key role on site, taking responsibility for all external works from groundworks through to completion.

The Role

You will oversee and manage all external packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.

Working alongside the Project Manager and wider site team, you will coordinate subcontractors and drive progress across all external elements of the build.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of all external works including groundworks, drainage, and hard landscaping
• Coordination of subcontractors and site logistics
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
• Quality control and inspection of completed works
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth transition between phases
• Reporting progress to senior management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or External Manager on commercial projects
• Strong background managing external packages
• Experience on large-scale projects (£10m+)
• Good understanding of groundworks and external build processes
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid
