Site Manager / Defects Manager
Location: Cambridge
Duration: 4–5 Weeks
Start date: 04.05.2026

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager / Defects Manager to support a completed residential development, focusing on post-handover works and defect resolution.

The project was completed approximately 12 months ago, and this role will involve identifying, recording, and coordinating the rectification of outstanding defects across the scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out detailed defect inspections across occupied units and external areas

  * Record, track and manage defects through to completion

  * Coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient remedial works

  * Issue and manage permits to work, including roof access

  * Oversee works relating to roads, external areas and permitted works

  * Supervise roof maintenance and defect rectification

  * Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to close out defects

Requirements

  * Proven experience in a Defects Manager, Aftercare or Snagging role

  * Strong background in residential construction (essential)

  * Experience working on post-completion or occupied developments

  * Ability to manage subcontractors and prioritise remedial works

  * Strong attention to detail and quality standards

  * SMSTS or SSSTS

  * CSCS Card
