The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established construction and fit out contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, education, healthcare, retail, and refurbishment projects across the South West and surrounding regions.
The business is known for delivering technically challenging refurbishment and interior fit out schemes, building long-term relationships with clients through quality workmanship, collaborative working, and exceptional project delivery.
This opportunity is to oversee the fit out and refurbishment of a commercial office block in Bristol, delivering a high-quality working environment to programme and specification.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, maintain health and safety compliance, and act as the key point of contact between the client and project teams. The role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable managing refurbishment works within a live commercial environment and driving programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all day-to-day site activities associated with the office fit out and refurbishment works.
Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant, and material deliveries.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme requirements and quality standards.
Maintain excellent health, safety, and environmental standards across site.
Manage site documentation, permits, RAMS, and progress reporting.
Conduct quality inspections, snagging, and handover procedures.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Chair site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
Drive programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.
Strong understanding of office refurbishments and interior fit out works.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working within live commercial environments would be advantageous.
