 Position: Adult Social Worker - Older People 
 Location: South & West Hertfordshire 
 Contract: Locum / Temporary (Flexible) 
 Rate: Competitive - based on experience 
 Start Date: ASAP 
 
 About the Role: 
 We are seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Social Worker to join the Older People's team in South & West Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will support vulnerable adults, providing high-quality, person-centred care and interventions in line with statutory requirements. 
 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 
 Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning for older adults with complex needs. 
 
 Manage safeguarding concerns and Section 42 enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014. 
 
 Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions under the MCA 2005. 
 
 Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams including health, social care, and voluntary sector professionals. 
 
 Support hospital discharge planning and community-based interventions. 
 
 Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and documentation. 
 
 Requirements: 
 
 Qualified Social Worker (CQSW / DipSW / Degree in Social Work) 
 
 Registered with Social Work England 
 
 Experience in Adult Social Care, particularly with older people 
 
 Strong knowledge of statutory frameworks including Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, DoLS 
 
 Excellent communication, organisational, and assessment skills 
 
 Confident in using case management systems and IT tools
