Contract Type: Various short-term and long-term (term-time) assignments available
Daily Rate: £130 - £168.80 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications; this is a daily supply rate, not a long-term rate)Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to join our pool of talented educators for the summer term starting in May 2026. We partner with a range of vibrant and inclusive primary schools across Preston and Blackburn that require flexible cover for both planned and unplanned absences.

About the Role
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons to pupils across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6). Assignments vary from single-day cover to longer-term placements, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Daily Cover: Work is pre-planned and provided for you to deliver.
Long-Term Contracts: You will be responsible for planning and delivery.
Adaptability: Quickly integrate into different school environments, following their specific policies to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned lessons effectively to ensure continuity of learning.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school-specific policies.
Maintain a safe, stimulating, and professional learning environment.
Communicate clearly with school staff regarding pupil progress.
Uphold the school's ethos and safeguard the welfare of all pupils.
Requirements
We are looking for teachers who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Possess a strong understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
Are adaptable, reliable, and professional.
Have confidence in classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Are passionate about supporting children's learning.
