Role: SEND Teaching Assistant 
Start Date: December 2025
 Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
 Location: Sutton, London
 Salary: £500 - £600 per week (dependant on experience)

Key Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their personal learning goals.
 Your key duties will include:

Providing targeted 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning or developmental needs.
Assisting in the delivery of individual education and behaviour plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.
Supporting speech and language interventions, fine/gross motor development, or occupational therapy-based activities.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. 
About You
We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally on a 1:1 basis within a school setting.
Relevant qualifications or training in Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible, team-oriented attitude and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.
