SEND Teaching Assistant – Trafford

Location: Trafford
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Type: Long Term

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Trafford on a long-term basis.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting children with additional needs and confident in creating a calm, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored support and help pupils make meaningful progress both academically and personally.

The Role

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs

Working closely with children with Autism, ADHD and PMLD

Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required

Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and development

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Working as part of a supportive and experienced SEND team

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working with children with Autism, ADHD and PMLD is essential

Experience working within a UK SEND school or specialist setting is highly desirable

Patient, empathetic and resilient

Confident supporting pupils with complex needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Passionate about making a positive difference to children's lives
