Team Manager – Children’s Services

£45 PAYE (exclusive of holiday pay) or £58.24 LTD (inclusive of holiday pay)
 Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead and manage a dynamic Children’s Social Care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader to drive high-quality practice and deliver positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
 The Role As Team Manager, you will lead a team of 6–8 staff, ensuring effective and consistent social work practice. You’ll oversee case management, provide strong leadership, and promote a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
 Key Responsibilities
Manage and allocate referrals efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
Oversee caseloads and ensure compliance with agreed casework standards
Deliver reflective supervision, performance management, and professional support
Audit and scrutinise practice to maintain high service quality
Promote the voice of the child in all interventions
Build strong multi-agency partnerships to enhance service delivery
Support staff development, mentoring, and coaching
Contribute to service improvements and strategic development
Manage budgets effectively and promote value for money
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standardsWhat We’re Looking For
Qualified Social Worker with significant post-qualification experience
Strong leadership and team management skills
