Job Description

My client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant based in Barking
The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a small Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
  * · Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  * · Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
  * · Carrying out Fabrication and Glass and Plastic audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
  * · Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions.
  * · Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements
  * · Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS.
  * · Assisting with completing export product checks and paperwork
  * · Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system.
Essential Criteria:
  * · Food Related Qualification or proven related experience
  * · Knowledge of HACCP principles
  * · IT Literate
  * · Excellent organisation and communication skills
  * · Competent in record keeping
  * · Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
  * · Have a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
  * · Flexibility towards working hours
