Job Description

Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Technical Manager to lead the technical operations across our growing food manufacturing business – ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, hygiene, and compliance. You’ll lead the HACCP function, manage technical systems and audits, and play an integral part in supporting innovation and new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System.

  * Lead the HACCP team and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.

  * Prepare for and lead third-party and local authority audits.

  * Provide expert guidance on food safety, hygiene, and best manufacturing practices.

  * Support new product development and new shop openings from a technical perspective.

  * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce complaints and improve process control.

  * Oversee pest control, hygiene, microbiology, and technical training programmes.

  * Lead and develop a motivated technical and hygiene team.

About You

  * Proven experience in a technical or quality management role within food manufacturing.

  * Experience with SALSA or BRC accreditation processes.

  * Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

  * A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
