Technical Project Delivery Manager

(Defence / Satcoms / MOD Projects)

Are you experienced in delivering complex, technical projects within the Defence or Government sector? This is a great opportunity to take ownership of high-profile MOD programmes, working across advanced satellite communications and secure network projects that directly support national infrastructure.

You’ll work closely with the Programme Director to ensure key MOD project portfolios are delivered successfully — managing schedules, risks, documentation, and coordination across technical and project teams. It’s a role that combines structured project delivery with hands-on technical understanding, giving you real influence over outcomes that matter.

What you’ll be doing:

  * 

    Overseeing delivery across multiple MOD programmes and service contracts.

  * 

    Managing full project lifecycle – schedules, risk registers, project plans, and documentation.

  * 

    Coordinating engineering, commercial and service teams to ensure smooth delivery.

  * 

    Supporting bids and tenders across MOD and Government frameworks.

  * 

    Ensuring internal service launches are fully supported and documented.

  * 

    Acting as the technical point of contact for live projects, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.

  * 

    Representing the business at customer and programme meetings.

What you’ll need:

  * 

    Strong background in project management within Defence, MOD or Government environments.

  * 

    Technical understanding of IT networks, electronics, or satellite communications.

  * 

    Experience working with Defence Digital, DE&S or similar MOD frameworks.

  * 

    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  * 

    Excellent documentation, communication and organisational skills.

  * 

    Must hold or be eligible for DV clearance.

This role would suit someone currently working as a Technical Project Manager, Programme Delivery Manager, or Service Transition Manager within Defence, Communications, or Secure Infrastructure projects.
