Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  * Plan efficient routes and driver schedules using TMS to optimise national haulage network

  * Tailoring daily transport plan to regional need and operational variances

  * Observe and monitor adherence to UK/EU rules on driver working hours, breaks, and tachograph usage.

  * Utilise network resource as needed across the network

  * Record issues accross the operation and flag to appropraite senior leadership

  * Utilise subcontractors and other external resource as necessary

Skills Needed:

  * Strong decision-making and commercial judgment in time-sensitive, peak-demand environments

  * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with planning systems/TMS

  * Familiar with inudstry legislation (VOSA)

  * Experience in transport planning is necessary with a background in general haulage being highly advantageous
