Job Description

Works Manager (Temporary Contract)
📍 Dewsbury / Ravensthorpe
📅 Start Date: Mid-April
📆 Duration: Minimum until September (likely extension)

We are currently seeking an experienced Works Manager to join our team on a temporary basis, supporting key infrastructure projects in the Dewsbury/Ravensthorpe area.

Key Responsibilities

  * Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

  * Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and resources effectively

  * Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company standards

  * Liaise with project stakeholders and report on progress

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Works Manager (highways experience preferred; rail experience advantageous)

  * Valid CSCS Black Card

  * SMSTS or SSSTS certification

  * First Aid qualification

  * Strong leadership and communication skills
