1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only

1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a welcoming and inclusive school in Kettering. This rewarding role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child's educational journey and helping them achieve their full potential.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team, you will provide tailored support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

Responsibilities:

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.

Assisting the pupil in accessing learning activities and the wider curriculum.

Supporting emotional wellbeing, social development, and independence.

Implementing strategies outlined in EHCPs and support plans.

Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Building a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil while maintaining professional boundaries.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.

Knowledge of SEND and strategies to support pupils with additional needs.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
