We are recruiting for a Training Centre Manager at our Pitman training centre in Crawley. This person will oversee the day-to-day running of the training centre and will have a passion for sales and marketing.
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure smooth running of the training centre, manage and motivate the team. You primary goals are to increase the overall number of student enrolments, maintain high standards of student experience and achieve the targets set.
This role will report directly into the Franchisee
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take charge of the training centre. Responsible for the day to day running
- Work extremely closely with our Course Advisor to ensure that all enquiries are followed up promptly and to the best possible standards
- Maximise our volume of enrolments and increase the revenue of the training centre
- Deliver an exceptional value proposition – delighting students – to create advocates, attract referrals and drive the highest enrolment values
- You will handle a proportion of the consultations (sales meetings) yourself, leading by example, and helping to maximise the overall performance
- Work closely with the Learning Coach team to deliver the best possible student experience
- Ensure great product knowledge both for yourself and for the team, so that you can competently advise all prospective students and convert enquiries
- Identify opportunities locally to promote Pitman Training and the reputation of the centre
- Make direct approaches to local company/corporate prospects, who may have a need for training services, with a view to attaching more new business
- Attend local networking events to improve the brand awareness locally
- Take maximum pride in the appearance of the training centre, living up to our premium venue expectations
- Observe/shadow to support staff on a regular basis, offering feedback and encouragement, ensuring best practice and maximum positivity at all time
- Perform HR duties, such as recruitment, setting rotas, performance reviews, as well as sickness and absence monitoring
- Manage all aspects of building and service management. Build good relationships with all suppliers for the betterment of the business
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and undertake audits
Prepare financial projections by preparing annual targets and forecasts
- Ensure key performance indicators and targets in relation to sales performance and service standards are managed in line with company expectations
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
* Have proven sales experience in a customer facing environment or a student admission environment
* Have some experience of marketing and business development; generating new business leads
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
* Have a natural conscientiousness; to fix, solve and improve things for the betterment of the business
* Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
* Be self-motivated and driven, with excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to take ownership over tasks, and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver results
* Friendly and approachable with a can-do attitude
* Calm and compassionate nature
* Able to work well under pressure
* Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft suite
* Good IT/tech skills. Experience with CRM desirable

Hours of work:
37.5 hours per week, including Saturday working and late nights
Predominantly 9am-5pm Monday-Friday
