Control Room Manager Greenwich (Security / Facilities Management)
Location: Greenwich, London
Hours / Days: 08:30 to 17:30 Monday Friday although expected to carry out night / weekend visits to the Control Room to ensure performance.
Salary: circa £40,000 per year

Their 24/7 control-room underpins their business operations, coordinating security staff, mobile teams and client requirements nationwide. As they grow the Control Department, they are seeking a skilled and responsible Control Room Manager to lead this crucial function from their Greenwich head office.
What you'll be doing
*
Leading, managing and supervising the Control Room team: weekly 1-2-1s, monthly meetings, training and performance reviews.
*
Creating and maintaining the staff roster ensuring full shift coverage, managing holidays/absence, and guaranteeing two-person minimum coverage during critical periods.
*
Overseeing lone-worker and check-call processes via SmartTask (or equivalent): booking on/off, monitoring welfare calls, and ensuring compliance with company protocols.
*
Managing all data in SmartTask: rates, clients, employees, timesheets/run sheets ensuring accuracy at all times.
*
Acting as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, mobile operations and internal operations managers: responding swiftly to client requests or last-minute changes.
*
Handling investigations or disciplinary matters (in conjunction with HR) when required maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
*
Identifying opportunities to improve control-room and security processes, and implementing improvements.
*
Reporting on Control Room performance, staffing, incidents and service delivery to senior management.
*
Occasionally performing night or weekend visits (on-site or remote) to ensure the Control Room remains fully operational and effective.

You'll need
*
A valid SIA licence and a clean DBS check.
*
Previous experience managing a control room or similar security operations environment.
*
Strong team-management and administrative skills ability to organise shifts, manage leave/absence, and ensure consistent standards.
*
Excellent IT skills confident with MS Office and workforce/security management software (e.g. SmartTask or similar).
*
Outstanding attention to detail, discretion, and ability to deal with confidential information.
*
Strong written and verbal communication able to liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams alike.
*
Resilience, flexibility, and calmness under pressure able to respond to changing demands, tight deadlines and occasional out-of-hours requirements.
It would also be a plus if you have
*
Experience with CCTV, alarm monitoring, access control or other security-tech systems.
*
Previous exposure to incident management or emergency response coordination.
