TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Hounslow. The college follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their full potential, whilst promoting independence

The college is looking to take on a permanent English Teacher from January on a full-time basis. The successful English teacher will be working directly with students whose ages range from 16 – 19yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with Autism / ASC and have other additional needs. The college offers a broad curriculum including GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications in English.  

The successful qualified English Teacher will have:

-        QTS with English specialism

-        Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

-       Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASC, SLD, PMLD, ADD, ADHD

-        Strong communication skills
