English Teacher – SEMH School, Uxbridge

Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher looking for a truly rewarding opportunity? TLTP are working with a fantastic SEMH school in Uxbridge who are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join their dedicated team full-time.

This role is ideal for an English Teacher who wants to make a genuine impact on the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that help students achieve academic success while building confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.

About the School

This specialist SEMH provision in Uxbridge supports students who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural or emotional challenges. 

The school offers:

Small class sizes (maximum 8–10 pupils)

Additional TA support in every class

A reduced curriculum focusing on core subjects

The English Teacher will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning atmosphere, using creativity and structure to support students in achieving their GCSE English qualifications and preparing for future education or employment.

Requirements for the English Teacher:

Hold QTS or QTLS (essential)

Experience teaching English at KS3, KS4, and KS5 (SEMH experience desirable)

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
