Finance Administrator | Temp to Perm Opportunity

Location: Sevenoaks (accessible by car or public transport)
 Pay: £14 per hour + weekly pay & benefits
 Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (100% office based)
 Start: ASAP
 Contract: Temporary (via Office Angels) with the opportunity to become Permanent
 Permanent Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

We're excited to be recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join a successful, expanding business in Sevenoaks. You'll be part of a small, proactive team led by a manager who has grown within the company and genuinely loves working there. If you enjoy structure, accuracy and keeping finances running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.

Whether you've recently completed your AAT qualification or have some initial finance experience and want to develop further, this role offers fantastic exposure and training across bookkeeping and administration.

What You'll Be Doing

A varied and busy role where no two days are the same! Duties include:

Producing weekly debtor reports from Xero for credit control
Reporting operational barriers to payment to the Operations Manager
Updating the Finance Manager on any funding‑related payment issues
Processing customer remittance advices and checking funds received
Preparing and sending client statements
Calling customers to follow up on outstanding invoices
Ensuring early and proactive credit control from invoice point
Escalating non‑payment to management when required
Sending standardised debt recovery emails as part of an established process
Posting received payments into Xero
Uploading sales invoices to client portals
Checking supplier invoices for accuracy, VAT treatment and coding
Reviewing supplier statements and requesting missing invoices
Notifying the Manager when suppliers chase for payment
Creating the monthly payables report for the Finance Manager
Manually inputting labour & materials breakdown for returns
Completing HMRC verifications for new subcontractors
Reconciling credit card statements

Is This You?

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Completed or part‑completed AAT, OR basic finance/bookkeeping experience
Experience using Xero (not essential - training provided)
A proactive, organised nature with strong attention to detail
Confidence managing your workload and taking ownership of your responsibilities
A friendly, open communication style
The ability to travel to Sevenoaks daily (close to mainline station & bus routes)
