Job Description

Financial Accountant. OUR CLIENT is an established accounting and finance consultancy who provide services to real estate and private equity firms. As they continue to grow, they have now created a new role for a Financial Accountant (real estate) to work on with their real estate clients.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for Financial Accountant will include (but may not be limited to):

Prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102 / FRS 101) and IFRS.
Assist with the production of annual consolidated financial statements, including supporting schedules, reports, and correspondence.
Prepare and submit Corporation Tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
Act as the main point of contact for auditors, managing queries and ensuring a smooth audit process.
Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
Produce monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and performance reports.
Input accounting data accurately and efficiently into accounting systems (Xero, ClearBooks, etc.).
Perform bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and other balance sheet reconciliations. 

THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS for Financial Accountant:

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (newly qualified to 1-2 years' PQE).
Real estate or practice experience advantageous.
Proficient in Xero, ClearBooks, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Clear, professional communicator with a proactive approach.
Confident working with data and producing accurate reports.
Comfortable suggesting process improvements and driving positive change.BENEFITS
