Job Overview:
We are currently seeking two dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapists to join a renowned private Mental Health healthcare provider in Essex, with roles based in Romford and Colchester. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group-based therapeutic interventions to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, focusing on improving functional outcomes and overall well-being.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored care plans based on the specific needs and goals of each patient.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment for patients.
Provide advice and support to patients and their families, helping them understand the importance of therapy in the recovery process.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that all interventions are effective and aligned with patient needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
Participate in regular team meetings, training, and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and improve practice.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy (BSc or MSc).
HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
Experience in working with adults and/or mental health services, preferably in inpatient or residential settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
A person-centred approach to therapy, demonstrating empathy and understanding of patients' needs.
Ability to manage a caseload independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.
Desirable:
Experience in working with patients with complex mental health needs, including substance misuse and personality disorders.
Previous experience in a private healthcare setting.
Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best practices in mental health care.
Training or qualifications in specific therapeutic interventions (e.g., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, etc.).
