We are working with a specialist SEN school in Maidenhead that supports pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop communication, independence and life skills.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with PMLD, SLD and complex needs in the classroom
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and engagement
• Assist with personal care and mobility where required
• Support students with sensory activities, communication and life skills
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver personalised learning
• Help create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

✔ Patient, compassionate and resilient
✔ Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
✔ Comfortable supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs
✔ A strong team player with a positive attitude

Experience in SEN, care, support work, youth work, psychology or education would be beneficial but is not essential.
