Shopfloor Scheduler - 12‑Month Contract

Location: Gloucester
 Pay: £19.92 per hour PAYE (£22.31 including holiday) or £26.66 Umbrella
 Hours: Full-time, on-site
 Security Requirement: You must hold a British or dual‑British passport to meet mandatory security clearance requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised Production Shopfloor Scheduler to join our team on a 12 month contract. Working closely with Production, Procurement, and Logistics, you will play a vital role in ensuring all parts and components are available to meet operational plans and production deadlines. 
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve problems and keep processes moving.

Key Responsibilities

Create, manage, and update daily and weekly shopfloor schedules.
Ensure the timely availability of parts, materials, and components for production.
Coordinate with procurement teams to monitor order status and escalate any risks.
Work closely with logistics to track deliveries and resolve supply issues.
Communicate schedule changes, shortages, and priorities clearly to production teams.
Analyse stock levels and identify potential bottlenecks or shortages.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience

Experience in production scheduling, materials planning or shopfloor coordination (ideally within manufacturing).
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
Clear communication and confidence working across multiple departments.
Able to manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and competent in MS Office applications.
