Team Leader – Extra Care Unit
📍 Bolton Area

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected care organisation for an experienced Team Leader to help deliver high-quality, person-centred support within an Extra Care setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious care professional ready to step into a leadership role, working alongside the Service Manager to drive excellence, develop teams, and improve outcomes for the people supported.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service. You’ll support the Service Manager in ensuring care delivery is personalised, empowering, and aligned with best practice and regulatory standards.

You’ll lead by example—motivating staff, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring consistently high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

  * Support the management of daily service delivery and staff performance

  * Lead, motivate, and develop support staff through supervision and mentoring

  * Ensure care is delivered in a person-centred, outcome-focused way

  * Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and safeguarding requirements

  * Coordinate rotas and staffing levels effectively

  * Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement

  * Support care planning, risk assessments, and reviews

  * Build strong relationships with families, carers, and external professionals

  * Participate in on-call duties and provide hands-on support when required

Requirements

  * Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in health & social care

  * Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding

  * Knowledge of relevant legislation (including the Mental Capacity Act)

  * Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team

  * Strong organisational and communication skills

  * Flexible approach to working hours

  * Full UK driving licence (preferred/depending on service)
