This business is dedicated to delivering high-quality technical products to various industries and are now looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their senior leadership team. Role
W Talent Engineering are working with a key customer in Derbyshire to find an experienced and highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the engineering team and drive the successful development and delivery of new products from conception through to market launch. This role requires a Technically strong Engineer with a proven track record as a Technical Manager, capable of managing a team of engineers and serving as the subject matter expert across all product ranges within the business.
Key Responsibilities
  * Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, ensuring high performance, professional development, and effective collaboration. Allocate resources, manage workloads, and set clear objectives to achieve project milestones.
  * Product Development: Oversee the delivery for all new products/product developments, ensuring technical integrity and adherence to industry standards throughout the product lifecycle. Oversee the entire product development process from initial concept through to production, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Provide technical leadership and guidance on design, engineering, and manufacturing processes to ensure products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  * Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert for the business on all engineering-related aspects of product ranges, offering deep technical knowledge and insight. Work closely with cross-functional teams including commercial, manufacturing, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  * Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and deadlines to deliver high-quality outcomes. Engage with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
  * Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting advice to the engineering team and other departments as required. Lead the resolution of complex engineering challenges, drawing on a broad range of technical expertise.
Qualifications and Person Specification
  * Degree Qualified in a Technical Discipline
  * Proven track record of bringing new products to market.
  * Health, safety, and environmental awareness is crucial - IOSH/NEBOSH would be advantageous
  * Significant experience in engineering management, leading teams in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
  * Expertise in product development within a high hazard environment as highly desirable.
  * Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
  * Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  * Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
