Warehouse Assistant

Salary: Up to £27,00

Location: Chandlers Ford (Moving to Nursling in April)

Temp| Full Time | Monday to Friday

Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Warehouse Assistant to join the team.

The main purpose of this role is to support the daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, while ensuring company standards and health & safety procedures are consistently followed.

In return, our client is offering a salary up to £27,000, plus holiday entitlement, pension, free parking, staff events, Health and Wellbeing and progression opportunities. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in receiving, checking, and storing incoming stock
Reporting any errors and/or faulty parts
Picking and packing orders accurately for delivery or collection
Maintaining inventory records and conducting regular stock counts
Loading and unloading goods using manual handling equipment or forklifts (if certified)
Preparing shipments and relevant documentation
Handling returns and quarantined stock, liaising with other departments to ensure efficient processing
Keeping warehouse areas clean, organised, and safe at all times
Reporting damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
Following company policies, health & safety regulations, and warehouse procedures
Supporting other departments and carrying out general housekeeping duties
Undertaking any other duties required to support the business
The ideal candidate:

Previous warehouse experience (desirable)
Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and minimising errors
A flexible approach and ability to follow detailed instructions
Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes (advantageous)
Physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic maths and computer skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Forklift certification (desirable)
