The Role: Impacting Lives in the Classroom
In this position, you will be a visible, supportive presence across the school. Your responsibilities will include:
Classroom Cover: Delivering pre-set lessons across various subjects, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in a safe learning environment.
Pastoral Mentoring: Working 1-on-1 or in small groups with students to address barriers to learning, such as attendance, behaviour, or emotional well-being.
De-escalation: Using your youth work background to manage challenging situations with empathy, patience, and firm boundaries.
Collaboration: Working alongside Heads of Year and the Safeguarding team to ensure the "Blackpool student" is supported holistically.
What We're Looking For
Experience: A proven track record in youth work, community coaching, or school-based pastoral roles.
Resilience: The ability to manage classroom dynamics and command respect from students aged 11-16.
Adaptability: Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Local Knowledge: An understanding of the specific challenges and rewards of working with young people in the Blackpool area.
Qualifications: A Degree or Level 3+ qualification in Youth Work, Education, or Social Care is highly desirable.
Why Choose This Role?
Paid to Scale: We value your experience. Your daily rate will reflect your expertise and the responsibilities of the role.

Community Impact: Make a direct difference to the aspirations and outcomes of local Blackpool teenagers.
