Are you an accomplished Business Development Manager that has experience of selling into Building Contractors, Developers and Specifiers? Our client has created a solution to help Developers, Contractors, QSs, and Design Managers solve a tedious and costly problem: sourcing compliant alternates that reduce material costs without wasting time or sacrificing quality.
The service brings together AI and domain knowledge to deliver faster, more cost-effective procurement decisions across every finish package.
They are not a marketplace. They do not resell products. They’re an independent, research-first team focused solely on helping customers hit spec, meet budget, and stay in control!
What we're looking for:
* You’re a great communicator who enjoys building relationships. You convey trust and create eye-level discussions as a default wherever you go.
* You’re an all-in person who isn’t scared of pushing to get your foot in the door or using unorthodox sales methods.
* You have experience working with contractors and/or developers in the UK and understand their world.
* You’re motivated by helping people do their jobs better - saving time and money through smarter digital tools.
* Able to access London easily by public transport (ideal) or car.
* You’re comfortable working in a dynamic environment, adjusting and iterating as you go.
* You’re independent and outcome-driven. This is a result driven role. It is not the corporate 9-to-6 type.
* You’re consistent and can easily switch to execution mode.
* You’re excited about having full control to shape how our sales process and pipeline evolve.
This is essentially a founding sales role. The person we hire will help define what our sales motion looks like from day one.
What You'll be doing:
* You’re expected to knock on office doors, visit sites, make calls or any other activity that would move the business forward. It’s for you to execute the initial sales effort.
* Leverage your existing network of contacts with contractors to drive initial sales.
* Build and manage early relationships with main contractors, design & build contractors, and developers.
* Engage day-to-day with prospects - opening doors, developing conversations, and driving opportunities forward.
* Create and maintain a top-of-funnel sales pipeline.
* Help define the go-to-market and engagement strategy.
* Work directly with founders to shape the way they sell and communicate their new offering.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be part of a small team where everyone contributes to execution and strategy.
