Job Description

A leading main contractor areseeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their head office design team in Dublin, supporting the delivery of major data centre projects across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale, technically complex developments within a fast-growing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  * 
    Develop and review detailed electrical designs for data centre projects (LV, MV, and HV systems).
  * 
    Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and project delivery teams.
  * 
    Prepare design documentation, specifications, and drawings in accordance with project and client requirements.
  * 
    Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure design intent and project objectives are met.
  * 
    Support commissioning and handover phases with technical input and design validation.
  * 
    Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements.
Skills & Experience:
  * 
    Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  * 
    3–8 years’ experience in electrical design, ideally within data centre or large industrial/commercial projects.
  * 
    Strong knowledge of power distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, lighting, and earthing.
  * 
    Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar BIM tools.
  * 
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail.
