Are you a passionate Geography Teacher seeking your next rewarding teaching opportunity?

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a well-established and supportive secondary school in the Colne area. This role is 5 days per week, and due to start in May ongoing until February 2027.

This is an excellent chance to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values inclusive teaching, academic excellence, and professional development.

Position Details:

Job Title: Geography Teacher

Location: Colne, Lancashire

Start Date: May 2026 - February 2027

Contract Type: Full-time, 5 days per week.

Daily Rate: £168 – £215 per day

About the Role:

  * Deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum

  * Plan and prepare high-quality lessons tailored to a range of learning abilities

  * Monitor and support student progress through meaningful assessment and feedback

  * Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

  * Contribute to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification

  * Have strong subject knowledge in Geography (KS3 & KS4)

  * Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update Service

  * Be confident in planning and delivering creative and inclusive lessons

  * Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills

  * Be committed to inspiring young people and improving outcomes for all learners

  * Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote student wellbeing
